Signage Requirements

Private Property Rules

VERIFY: Property owner must authorize the tow. In Chicago, private property towing is regulated by the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection.

Right to Retrieve

VERIFY: Owner may retrieve the vehicle before it is removed from the property. Chicago has specific regulations on drop fees.
